ACEC/CT offers its members a wide variety of coalitions and committees tailored to the special interests of its members. Below is a description of each. Please feel free to request that one or more people from your firm be assigned to these groups. In fact, active participation in ACEC/CT’s committees will dramatically increase the return on your dues investment in ACEC/CT. If you don’t know which group would best serve you, let us know your interests and we will introduce you to the group that matches your interests.

Committees and Chairs
ACEC PAC
ACEC PAC is the engineering industry's primary tool for political engagement at the national level. ACEC PAC is the largest PAC in the engineering and design services industry. The sole purpose of ACEC PAC is to support candidates in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate who support policies and legislation favorable to the engineering industry. Addresses national legislative issues and supports ACEC PAC activities in Connecticut.

Communications Committee
Responsible for the website and social media posts to communicate effectively with our members and the public.

CTDEEP Liaison Committee
Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to share and disseminate information between the engineering community and the state regulators, and to improve communication, environmental processes and guidelines.

DEI&B Committee
Works to ensure that ACEC-CT is a welcoming organization where all members are included, involved, and have the opportunity to pursue key roles. Organizes and oversees the annual Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Awards, to recognize member firms’ DEI&B programs and initiatives.

DOT Liaison Committee
Meets with state Department of Transportation to discuss contract provisions and improve quality.

Emerging Leaders Committee
Tasked with engaging emerging leaders of member firms to create growth, networking and leadership opportunities.

Government Affairs
Works with ACEC-CT lobbyists to ensure that the business of engineering is represented at the state legislature and informs member firms of important legislative initiatives.

Membership
Recruits new members into ACEC/CT, reviews membership services and develops new services for ACEC/CT members.

Program Committee
Develops Programs and Events that are business focused for the benefit the membership of the ACEC-CT engineering community

QBS Committee
Tasked with advocating for the use of Qualifications Based Selection of professional engineering services, and educating public officials and others regarding the benefits of QBS to the communities and residents of the State of Connecticut

Scholarship Committee
Oversees the ACEC-CT Scholarship Program which includes fundraising and review of annual scholarship applications.
